Navigating Our Blog

Many of you may not be very familiar with reading blogs, so I thought I'd throw out some quick tips about navigating our class blog so you can find the information you need efficiently.
  • POSTS: What you are reading right now is a "post." When I write a post and publish it to our blog, it will appear at the top of the main page, as opposed to being tacked onto the bottom. So our newest content will always appear first.
  • PAGES: I've set up some different pages, seen as tabs along the top edge of the blog. You'll see "home," which is where you are at right now, and is where all the main posts get published. The "schedules" tab has both our daily schedule and our specials schedule. Since homework will be something you might want to quickly get to, I've made a page for that. (Note: To be tidy, I'll erase old homework and add new homework on this page.) Other tabs may be added as needed.
  •  LINKS: I've added some links to connect you to Cherry Tree. The links are listed in the sidebar on the right.
  • ARCHIVE: If you are looking for a specific post, you can use the blog archive on the sidebar on the right, which organizes posts like a timeline.
  • LABELS:  This will be a helpful tool! When I write a post, I can add "labels" to the post. These are like key words that help to categorize posts by topic. A post can have more than one label. The labels are in ABC order and are in the sidebar on the right. For example, I'll attach a SPELLING label when I post spelling words, or a MATH label for posts about math.  When you click on a label from the sidebar, the blog will bring up all the posts that have that label attached to it.
I hope that helps you!
