On Tuesday, we reviewed what a noun is (a person, place, thing, or animal).
On Wednesday, we dove into the difference between a common noun (e.g. "school") and a proper noun (e.g. "Cherry Tree Elementary"). On Thursday, we'll study nouns that are abstract vs. concrete. Some examples of abstract nouns are: history, love, knowledge, health, or fear. These are all nouns, but since we can't see, hear, smell, taste, or touch them directly, we put them in the "abstract" category.
Ask you child about nouns this week... do they sound like a noun expert yet?
